Removing Pimples!?

Hi, I'm 14 and I've recently starting to grow alot of pimples on the left side of my face right near the nose and I was just wondering how you get rid of it. I try not to pop the little pimples but its too tempting and the "white" stuff comes out. I'm not allowed to buy any of those ointment or cream that makes it go away so I just wanted to know if there is any other way. I just put a cloth with hot water on that part of my face and it turned red and it was alittle wrinkly. And so if this normal and again, I need to remove it. (but I'm not havin' like those crisis or anything)
