How late is my period?

this may sound a bit silly but im confused....my period was due Saturday (my last period was may 18-23 and I have a 40 day cycle) and I still havent got it....does this make me two or three days late today? I tested neg. w/first response saturday, hubby wont let me retest til later this week because im a POAS addict LoL
