What makes some Christians so abrasive?

I am sorry that you had this experience. I am a Christian but before I was I also experienced many Christians who meant well but really turned me off of religion. I don't consider myself religious but I have a personal relationship with Christ that has changed my life in every way. I will never push my faith on another but I often say a prayer asking God to soften someones heart so they can feel him.
