Where do i find someone new? And how?

I'm currently going threw a ruff time with an ex and I've kinda decided the best thing to do is to move on and try and find someone new to spend time with and be happy with. But i really don't know how to find this "dream girl" shall i try internet dating? where is the the best place to meet new people? Someone please help.
