I have a record but never went to prison how do i explain it on a resume/application?

it was in 2006 i had burglary of dwelling(i know i was dumb when i was 18).Due to it being my first ever arrest i was given time served when i went to court after being in the county jail in fl not prison and had it dropped down to attempted break in.How do i explain it.Since then i coached the athletic for the police i went to college which i graduate in February.How can i explain t professionally and show it was in the past ?
