I am 32 and have graves disease (severe overactive thyroid with nodules). I was diagnosed 5 and a half years ago and have been taking daily tablets of PTU since then until now. After my levels returned to normal i fell pregnant with my 3rd child. The pregnancy went well until i went into labour at 30 weeks, thankfully they stopped my labor with medications but they had to keep a close eye on me. All the way through i kept having Blood tests to check my levels. Since then i have had a 4th child and my pregnancy went well with no complications due to my thyroid.Because my levels have been steady for the past 5 years even through pregnancies my endocrynoligest told me to stop taking my PTU in January this year. I am again pregnant now (8 weeks) and although i feel o.k i'm still panicing that by not being on my PTU that my baby could be a risk. I last had bloods taken 3 weeks ago and my levels were fine. After your baby is born make sure the Dr's do a blood test on your baby to make sure that it's thyroid is not overactive, because this condition can p through the placenta. With my last 3 pregnancies i have had early pregnancy spotting so i'm not sure if it was throid related or not but i have had 4 relavently healthy pregnancies and hopefully this one will be too. I go to my OBGYN in 9 days for the first time during this pregnancy so i don't know if he will put me back on my PTU or just have me get bloods done every 5 weeks (thats how long it takes for your levels to change). Good luck and have faith that you have heard your babys heart beat twice already, i'm sure everything will work out fine.

I have never heard of urination accidents if a dog is going into heat. she may have a urinary tract infection and is trying to tell you by showing you something isn't right. she can still get fixed if she is already in heat. some vets don't like to do it though because her female parts are swollen so the vet has to look a little harder to find what needs to be tied off. And I don't want sound like a meany, but she can also be fixed if she is pregnant. I work at an animal shelter and the less we bring accidental and unwanted pups into the world the better off they will be.

5 Year Old--Won't eat!!!?

My 5 year old stepson refuses to try anything new to eat. We have to fix two separate meals at every meal. He will only eat the following: pb&j, chicken nuggets and fries (no tenders, has to be nuggets), hot dog, pancakes, cheese and crackers, breadsticks, chips and salsa. Old staircase in hallway to bunker?

Well like i suggested months ago unless you have had it you could not possibly understand even the doctors don't know how it feels they understand you are in pain but if they have not felt it they don;t really know. And maybe that is why some people are so cruel, because they don't understand. I would not want to suggest any other pain med, to take along with your meds that you are taking now. Maybe you could find another specialist to help. Along with my oral meds I was also put on a pain patch .Granted none of it completely stop the full bladder feeling but it helped, some time we need to changed doctors. Don't know how many you have had since your condition, Had not seen any of your questions so I was worried that things were bad and you were hurting big time. My dog is depressed..Help?!?

Me and my partner just had to get rid of her dog (his best friend) because she is moving back in with her parents and I am as well so we could not keep her. We have been living together for the past 5 months and they have been inseparable since. It has been a little over a week since we found her a good home and my dog (Max, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel) has been sleeping a lot and has been over protective with me. This is not like him and he has never shown any aggression in his 2 year life. Right before we had to give up his best friend (Shivers), we had found a 5 month old puppy wandering and infested with fleas and worms. Of course we couldn't just leave him on a busy road at night with the chance of being hit. When we gave Shivers away, Max has seemed to start disliking the puppy (Oscar). If I try and play with Oscar, Max will come jump on my lap and growl at him. He has also snapped at him. Like I have said before, this is not normal for him. He has never shown any signs of aggression before this and I have had him since he was 4 months old. We aren't keeping Oscar for the obvious reasons, we are finding him a home. Max will barely touch his food now, when before he loved to eat. I don't know what to do for him. If anyone has any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it. Fighter airplane mission requirements. HELP ?

I have to do a preliminary design project of an aircraft for my cl. First we have to make the mission requirements and then do iterations. From those iterations we choose the best plane suitable for our mission requirement. I wanted to do a long range transport airplane b/c thats what I know of the most. The mission requirement would be something like "I want to fly from NY to LA within the least amount of time using the least amount of fuel" or something along those lines. However theres not much information that i can easily find on long range transport parameters. Well it would kinda be like lasagna, but more like baked ziti. I would season the chicken with garlic & pepper then bake it. Cut it into small chunks. Seed the tomatoes, chop & add to a pot with the tomato sauce. Season with basil, oregano, garlic, rosemary, salt, pepper, & a little brown sugar. Simmer for probably at least 30 minutes, tasting to see if seasoning needs to be adjusted. Allow to cool slightly before embling. Boil & drain the pasta. Mix everything, chicken chunks, pasta, sauce & cheese (reserving enough cheese to cover top). Bake at 350 till bubbly and cheese is slightly browned. I actually just made something similar to this a few days ago. I like to add red pepper flakes to mine.

She had called our father who lived out of town and said he better get to the school, she wasn't coming back.He came, and he told us she didn't want us, we were a burden, and now we ruined his life, too. She was gone for years. Then she came back and promised she would come see us on Christmas that year- and then she didn't show up. She kept doing that, making promises and not keeping them. So I know how he feels, it's hard. You feel stupid for believing in someone like that, but it's your mom, how can you not? And you want to be mad, and you want to hate her, but you can't. It's really hard on a kid. Make sure you tell him how wonderful he is, that he is special, how much you love him. The best thing you can do is be consistant. Give him someone he can count on, show him some people do actually keep their promises. Never say anything bad about his mom, no matter how horrid she is, that just hurts a kid too much. Counseling is probably a good idea.

I recently came across this eBay program that buys your used smartphones, and because of that, I can get $200 for my iPhone. That would cover the full price of the iPhone 4, but I would need to start a new contract to get one, and we all know the hefty sum that they ask in order to cancel the current contract and start a new one. So my questions are, how much as of right now would it cost to cancel my contract and start a new one, and also, is it even worth the trouble? The iPhone 5 is set to launch in the summer, uming that it follows Apple's typical launch cycle. I found out that in August, I could upgrade to a new iPhone, staying on the same contract, for only $18! I need someone to make this decision for me, it's overwhelming!

My car made a clicking noise when it starts?

so i have a 91 nissan sentra. it was sitting around for about a year and at first it did not start. i have replace the fuel pump, fuel filter, distributor cap and rotor, spark plugs, oil,oil filter, starter, alternator, battery, terminals all within about 2 months ago. i was replacing one thing after another. the car still died out on me so i took it to a shop for diagnostics and they told me it was either my valves had bad compression or it was my head gaskets. they also said my Idle Air Control Motor was bad. i did a valve adjustment and that seemed to fix my car from dying out on me. i have had the car for about 5 days and when i start it, it makes a loud clicking noise. (like when your car is on and you turn the key again) i drove it this mornig to work and it worked and drove fine but when i got off work the car did not start but my check engine light and my battery light came on. And no i didnt leave anything on or doors open because i double checked. so i tried giving it a jump and the car still did not start!!!! i called my girlfriend to pick me up and about 3 minutes later i tried starting it without the cables and it turned on just fine.... anyone know what the clicking noise is and why the car did not want to start??

I wish I could help you, however, I too felt a presence in my home that was very ominous a restless. I don't know what brought it or why it finally left. I can only join you in wanting answers and let you know that whatever you feel in your heart it is you are probably right. The only advice I can give you is to let it know you are not afraid of it. Problem Networking XP and Vista?

I'm trying to network 2 computers, one using XP (Pro), the other using Vista. They are connected via a single ethernet cable. They do not detect each other, and attempts at pinging have failed. It does detect the wire however, the computers just can't "identify" one another. I have edited the TCP properties for IP addresses, and enabled sharing. I have attempted this connection with firewalls on and off. The workgroup names are the same as well, so that is not the issue either. There is no readily apparent hardware issue, as mentioned earlier the wire connection itself is detected and the lights in the back of the PC's are green. The network wizard has failed to work as well. I can't even share files, however it is worth noting that one computer accesses the internet via a wireless adapter (the XP), while the other (Vista set-up) has no means of internet connection, besides the hopes of networking the two to operate off of the one adapter in the XP. I don't know if that is even possible, but at the moment I would just like to be able to share files. Any suggestions to fix this problem would be appreciated!

I've been to Lhasa, the capital of Tibet, and Shigatse which is around a 5/6-hour drive from Lhasa. lots of monasteries to visit, especially in Lhasa. the cities themselves don't have a whole lot else to do, but Tibet is definitely a spectacular place to visit.

Is Linux really worth it?

I'm installing a virtual machine on my laptop and will install either Windows XP (what I'm using now) or Ubuntu. I'll be using this VM for anonymous surfing and extra security. So, which do you think is best security-wise, Windows or Linux? I've never used Linux before, but I know that Linux is much safer than Windows. Is it worth the hle? I have some Windows programs I'd like to keep, but I could probably use them with Wine if I need to. So is Ubuntu a good idea? Are there any Linux distributions that are more newbie-friendly? '97 Tracer makes "clunking"/"popping" noise?

When I turn the wheel in either direction when moving slowly, for example back out of a parking space, there is a slight noise that sounds like a creaking or popping. The steering seems very straight and accurate. It doesn't pull to either side going down the highway and there are no weird vibrations or anything else to indicate a problem. What could be causing the clunking/popping noise? Even though the car is 11yrs. old, its only got 36k miles on it. I quickly looked over the CV boots and I saw no rips or tears and the rubber seems very supple still.

Do you like or dislike my writing? I have never written something like this before and I don't know?

I felt a sleep and bashed my head in requiring five stitches! Why? Because this sounds boring. When writing fiction or non-fiction always open with a strong hook (as I did with this) you have to grab the attention of the reader right away. Also don’t try to impress the reader with big words when smaller words will work. Break up your sentences into smaller paragraphs. Long sections of words will cause the reader to loose interest. But don’t loose heart if you love to write keep it up and do what every writer does rewrite and rewrite. Good luck.

03 Mustang Aftermarket Radio Installaion Issues - Mach 1000 audio system?

I have a 2003 Mustang. I believe I have the Mach 1000 audio system, but there is no Mach 1000 on. However, the radio is a double din. I recently took it out and hook up an aftermarket Pioneer radio. However, after I replaced it, no b came form my two back sub woofers/amp. I've tried 3 different wire harnesses. I'm starting to think that it is impossible to connect these sub woofers. Someone please help. I've wasted so much money trying to get this to work.

there have been many times when i thought i was in love but i wasn't, actually, i contemplated this same question myself recently after falling in love, this time i know i'm in love. the best way for me to describe the difference between thinking your in love and actually being in love is fear. when you think your in love you are afraid that your partner doesn't love you the same, or that your partner will leave you, you don't want to believe it but you still think it. i'm not talking about being afraid for your partner's life, that's completely normal, if you care about anyone you'll fear for them. when you're in love you are no longer afraid of them leaving you, and you never doubt their love for you. i suppose the best way to describe this would be it's the difference between being afraid OF your partner and being afraid FOR your partner. at least that's my belief on the matter.

Stop hardboard floor from creaking?

My bedroom floor is creaking. I removed the carpet to reveal a hardboard covering. When I remove the hardboard panels I found that the floorboards themselves don't creak at all. My floorboards are a little uneven and I think I need to keep the hardboard before laying the carpet. I've searched the internet but can't find a solution. It would seem that hardboard shouldn't squeak. Can anybody suggest how I can fix the squeaking that the hardboard covering seems to be causing? Should I glue it down to the floorboards? Put more hardboard nails in? Seems there is ample nails already. Many thanks.

What is the role of the step mom?

I'm the step mom. I love the boys, but they are night and day different. The 16 year old is tall, thin, athletic and popular. He loves sports and he is active. I'm a former college athlete so we bonded from day one. In fact, the running joke is he could be my biological child, not hers. The 10 year old is bright and artistic. He likes to read. He is also severely over weight (he just tipped the scales at 200 lbs!) and he is a couch potato. Not video games, just nothingness. He can sit and do nothing for hours. Walking the dogs is a real stretch. He usually makes it to the end of our driveway, then heads back. He is also a mama's boy. We get along well (I am also an artist and we are avid readers together), but I am secretly frustrated with his weight and immaturity. Mom gives him ANYTHING and EVERYTHING he wants on the weeks he is with her (50/50 custody arrangement). At our house there is discipline. His father is very strict with him, but he is a guy. The little things go under his nose unnoticed. Last night we went for dinner with another couple. Kids were with us. The 10 year old spent the entire evening chewing with his mouth open and interrupting the adult conversation every 5 minutes. He does this because with mom he is the center of the universe. If he asks her to jump, she drops everything and asks how high! No exaggeration- she wipes his rear when he potties because he is too heavy to reach all the way around himself! She expects us to do the same! These little things are driving me crazy. Do I point out the bad behavior to dad knowing it will cause an argument between us because I am "criticizing the son"? (I have been accused of favoring the 16 year old. I don't think I consciously do but maybe...?) Do I ignore the fact he is morbidly obese for a 10 year old? I genuinely care about this little kid, but what is my role here?

I am in the US so I don't know if it is different here or not. When my brother was younger, my mom sent him on a flight by himself. Since he was an unaccompanied minor, she was allowed to go beyond the gate with him and wait with him until he boarded his flight. He was preboarded and sat near the attendants. When he got where he was going, the attendant walked with him to his dad who was allowed to go past the gates to pick him up. Again, this was in the US and there was no customs involved so I am not sure how will it be for you. Your best bet would be to ask the airline.

Missed period, so confused, please help!?

Here's my situation: me & my dh have been ttc for 4months now and my last period was aug. 21, I am currently 22 days late(3wks) i had 2 negative blood test and countless negative urine test. I've been feeling this very tingly, cramping sensation in my lower right abdominal area for the last month now and it feels like it has moved to the left. On mon & tue I spotted very little brown blood, wed I spotted fresh blood, and these literally were like droplets of blood, very odd for me. Only symtoms I've had so far are: nausea, bloating, some constipation, back pain, headaches, tiredness. The doctor won't see me until I miss my next period. I have been searching for other ladies who are or have experienced something similar to me. I'm so down that I haven't gotten a + test but don't know if I am pregnant or not. Also....my temp has been surfacing around 97.7, is that a normal high or low temp for pregnancy? I don't know if I just have low hcg levels or what

How do I hook up the three batteries in this RV?

There are three batteries in a line. the left battery powers the RVs Engine, and is rechargeable. the two off to the right look like they were supposed to be in an array or something, the far left (+) terminal has a breaker installed (like a retro flip metal bar to other side thing) and goes somewhere into the engine. then theres another red line coming out of the engine that looks like itd fit in the middle batteries red terminal but theres no ground for these batteries, and two black wires about 3 feet long that go in somewhere. its an 85 GMC Pinnacle R.V.
